"You'd better. Because I refuse to rest and recover until I see him. I need to know what happened." He does at least stay in the bed this time, though he's watching Hanna balefully. "I can't believe the Admiral found a way to make death more unpleasant than it already was, and I didn't even have to claw my way out of my own corpse this time."
Or so he assumes. He's still as orange and fluffy as ever. No new life for him.
Clawing his way out of his own corpse sounds horrible, honestly, though Hanna has seen a lot of death in his time, and some other ways are just as terrible. "Just...think of it like a cold. It'll go away in a few days?"
And with one hand still petting CK, his other is using his communicator to try and get some info, messaging Mikodez in case he didn't already know, if perhaps Iago was still alive. It's highly doubtful, but a possibility.
"Hey, I'm not going to tell you to be more patient, this shit sucks, but trust me, when I have info for you? I'll say so. Alright? I have no reason to lie to you." Even attempting to protect Vash from further rather seems pointless as a potential reason when he'd already killed CK and at least attempted to kill Iago. He's shooting straight with this, and he feels like, even in his frustration and pain, The Cat King should understand that.
He'll get to do it several more times, once he's off this ship. The Cat King does not look forward to it. "It hurts far more than a cold," he hisses, as if he's ever had a cold in his life. But he's pretty sure they don't feel like being stabbed with knives every time he breathes or moves.
He still stretches out one arm to try to reach Hanna's other hand, the one with the communicator. "Now? What does it say?"
...it's not that he doesn't believe that Hanna would tell him right away. He's just trying to keep himself from panicking, thinking of Iago's corpse lying cold and unclaimed in the halls of the Barge.
Hanna is keeping his mouth shut about how dying by being burned alive was also not a cake walk. It had been truly terrible, but he also isn't going to tell CK his death doesnt suck. Cause it does.
When his paw reaches out to tilt Hanna's comm screen, a new text comes in from Miki.
Hanna summarizes, "He's got Iago in his room, he's going to text me again when Iago is settled back in his own cabin. And I'll take you over there when he does... sound good? It's going to get better from here, and he's safe now."
"So he's dead. He died. That motherfucker killed him." He spits the words, he's so mad. "He should be put down! He's a danger to everyone on this ship! I knew it from the moment I met him!" His hair bristles as he growls, agitated. "I will not rest until I'm with Iago!"
And he'll make sure Hanna knows he's not resting, if he has to. Why does Mikodez get to keep them separate? As if he doesn't monopolize enough of Iago's time as it is!
Hanna is trying his best not to react to the statements, but he does feel something underneath the attempt. Death isn't his favorite even if he's surrounded by it with his work, and he does feel for Iago even as he feels for Vash, for CK. "No one is keeping you from Iago, we just need to make sure he's settled and then I'll be more than happy to bring you to him so you can rest with each other. But until then, here we are."
That way he doesn't have to awkwardly stand there as they reunite and hear all the inflamatory things he has to say about Vash. "What can I do for you until then? Or are you going to just sit here and pout?"
The Cat King tries to push himself upwards one last time, but he's exhausted himself. Instead, he flops dramatically back on the bed and yowls. Low, mournful cries. Just so nobody can forget how distressed he is about the whole situation.
Sorry, Hanna. He is not handling this especially well.
Hanna isn't particularly bothered by this, even if it is loud and maybe a little annoying. He gets it. Hanna flops himself on the floor next to CK's bed, continuing to give him gentle pets.
He's not about to just walk away anyways, his free hand around his Comm waiting for that next text even if he's sure it's going to be a little while.

He's quiet for maybe two minutes. Generously.
"Well? What have you found out?!"
